Having just returned from an 8 day stay at the CHU (Milétrie) Poitiers, I want to say that I could not fault the care I received. The nurses and doctors were fantastic. I had so many tests, with no hanging around and all of the results seemed to be back at my room before I was. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
Everyone from consultants to porters were very friendly and caring. I've never had a doctor rub the back off my hand while she was telling me what was wrong with me. Silly it may sound, but it helped me feel a little less alien.
Only down point was the food. I understand when you're trying to feed 100's at the same time, quality will not be great, but blimey! In the end I refused the microwave reheated, polystyrene tray food and insisted on soup (potage). May be a tip if anyone else finds themselves in the same situation.
So if anyone has to go into the CHU, I'd don't worry you'll be well looked after.

Yes must agree with you, been in and out of there for a year and a half sleeping over for a total of 8/9 weeks or more, all the staff are very friendly, only thing i can say is that you can order from a menu and if you get it right the food is great, from roast lamb, skate wings, pork chops, colin fish etc..
My next trip is tomorrow..
Hi
Good luck with your trip tomorrow/today.
Maybe I'm being unfair due to lack of appetite. Though the pomme de terre puree did resemble Polyfilla.
Good Luck
Paul
